Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

My Brother introduced me when I was VERY little to Tekken 4. From there I’ve dabbled in 5,6,TT1 and 2 as well as others, but I really took the game seriously towards the end of Tekken 7.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

My friends Elder and Keno came to BP occasionally and decided to invite me one day after work.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

I was a curious 10 year old who grew up in a family barbershop watching the barbers spar in a game called Tekken 2. I got roped into playing the game throughout its iterations under a mentor. I started competing competitively in Tekken 6 after meeting a friend and rival, Nick (OffinBed). We grew a small scene of competitive players and then it bloomed into what we have today. I also now own that family barbershop.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

Started in Tag 2 and Tekken 6. It was just something I found fascinating online.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

Mason and I heard about Boston Tekken while being the only two at Gu. Tekken 7 came out and we traveled to Danny and met like 8 ppl. And we have been around since then building.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

I grew up with the series and played it super casually a bunch as a kid and a bit in high school. I started to actually learn the ins and outs of it with Tekken 7, starting in arcades in Japan, then the Round 1 in Taunton (RIP), and then finally when it hit consoles. I was really drawn to the character designs and fell in love with the series after seeing the cover of Tag and renting it at a video store. Anna was my childhood hyperfixation.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

I met another member of the scene playing Tekken 7 FR at Round 1 in 2017. Which is crazy because that's when I knew it existed, but I didn't end up really joining the scene until this year with Tekken 8! T7 just hit at a weird time in life. I remember seeing some of the people in the scene back then briefly, so it's been cool getting to actually know them now.

Been in the FGC for a while, Tekken 7 came when there was a drought of 3d fighters and I fell in love
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

The old TO Zoob is who initially got me in the door. Also the Rhode Island scene is who I played with the most before their venue closed

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

My roommate in college told me about Tekken 7 about to come out in Japan and how the game looks cool.I was learning SFV at the time and didn't think much of it. I got the game when it came out and picked Lucky Chloe and spammed cartwheel and the "double!" low. I stopped playing for months soon after.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

Fucking Ellis (salaryman-man) and Josh (bugatti). They brought a setup to MMOM and Ellis showed me some basics of the game and REALLY showed me what Tekken was about.I went to the first BP after the Lil Majin EVO but didn't stick to the scene because I was still going to Melee tournaments. I would play on and off, taking it more seriously as I started falling out of interest in Melee but still was a casual.It wasn't until COVID restrictions started loosening up and the more insane I was becoming because of social isolation + me finding out about the bowling local is what caused me to go to tournaments. There's more details but that's the gist.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

Always wanted to try fighting games, played Smash for a bit then during COVID Kazuya came out for Smash and I finally tried Tekken and instantly loved it.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

I saw Sloth with a Boston Tekken shirt on a Combo Breaker stream!

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

I played it with my brother starting at Tekken 3. But I started competitively when I watched Affect vs Tenno at the first Tekken 8 BP.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

I knew about the scene since season 1 of Dragonball Fighterz through Cyborg Number Blue.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

I've been a fan of Tekken since Tekken 3. I picked Hwoarang because I have always been into Martial Arts and he does Tae Kwon Do, which I practiced for many years.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

I heard about Boston Tekken from some people I played Tekken 7 with at PAX East 2018.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

I got into it because my Frame 1 broke for playing Melee so I decided to give Tekken a try and fell in love.

I have ASD and struggle with my mental health could be good because Tekken allowed me to find a group of friends and an outlet.

Danny welcomed me in when I was moving. But I knew him from back in 2013. I visited Boston back in '11, hosted by Gavin Yip.

Friend told me about a place called Balance Patch around 2018-ish.

I watched a Core A Gaming video on the FGC and community and I remembered how I had fun messing around in Tekken 6 in college with my roommates so I decided to pick up 7.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

My Dad was a huge fighting game player back in the day. My dad and mom would play Tekken while I watched when I was younger.I got into it and played constantly when I was old enough. Years later, I took it seriously and found the Boston Scene.
Who introduced you to the scene or how did you hear about Boston Tekken?

Lil Majin told me about StillElectric (Danny Garcia) and how he coordinated "The Electric Room".I went to my first Balance Patch tournament in 2019 and got 4th place. Where I met SCNightBlade, Jam, DocMassacre and more.

Tell us a bit about how you got into Tekken?

Father bought a PS1 just for Suikoden and rented me Tekken 2 from Blockbuster. Tekken 5 was my first fighting game I tried to learn for real. Became a SF kid with Third Strike, but SFV was so bad I quit the FGC. After covid, Anya handed me Tekken 8 demo and I was hooked back on my bullshit.

Meeting Guregu at Anime Boston and getting my ass kicked. Getting on Zaibatsu and making many mistakes after.
